St. Dominic's offers subsidized group health insurance to all full-time employees.

Inpatient Hospitalization (at St. Dominic Hospital)

  • High option:  Copay $175 then 100%
  • Low option: Copay $250 then 100%

Outpatient Surgery (at St. Dominic Hospital)

  • High option:  Copay $100 then 100%
  • Low option: Copay $150 then 100%

Physician Services (including Emergency Room)

  • High option: $300 Deductible and 80%
  • Low Option: $750 Deductible and 70%

Wellness Benefit - 100% No Deductible Drug Co-pays for Farlow's Pharmacy (outpatient pharmacy at St. Dominic's)

  • $10 - Generic, $30 - Preferred Brand, $50 - Non-Preferred Brand, $105 - Injectable

Drug Co-pays for Network Pharmacies

  • $100/Deductible then:
  • $15 - Generic, $40 - Preferred Brand, $60 - Non-Preferred Brand, $105 - Injectable

Dental Insurance

St. Dominic's offers 2 choices for voluntary Dental Insurance to all full-time and part-time employees:

  • High option: 100% Preventative, 80% Basic, 50% Major with a $50 per member deductible/$150 family max
  • Low option: Pays by schedule only with a $50 per member deductible/$150 family max

Vision Insurance

St. Dominic's offers a voluntary vision plan to all full-time employees. This plan has a $10 co-pay for eye exams/once every 12 months and a $25 co-pay for lenses/once every 12 months and frames/once every 24 months. Retirement Plan

St. Dominic's provides an excellent retirement plan for all eligible employees at no cost to the employee. Benefits rank in the 90th percentile nationally among companies with defined benefit pension plans.

Flexible Benefits Plans

An IRS-approved benefit which allows employees to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses and day care expenses on a pre-tax basis. The medical maximum is $2,500.

Short-Term Disability

St. Dominic's offers a voluntary, short-term disability policy to all full-time employees. This plan will cover unexpected illness/injury. The employee can choose a 50% benefit following a 14-day waiting period. This product is offered only during our open enrollment period each year.

Long-Term Disability

St. Dominic's offers a voluntary, group long-term disability policy to all full-time employees. This policy will replace 60% of income due to illness or injury after being out of work for more than 90 days.

Basic Life Insurance

St. Dominic's provides all full-time employees with paid group life insurance.

Voluntary Life Insurance

St. Dominic's offers additional voluntary life insurance for all full-time and part-time employees through payroll deduction.

Tax-Deferred Savings Plan

Financial security during retirement is a major concern for most people. St. Dominic's recognizes this concern, and to help you prepare for the future, provides a tax-deferred retirement plan with special incentives to encourage employees to save for retirement. Our tax-deferred 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan provides you with a variety of investment options. Your payroll deduction contributions are taken on a pre-tax basis and allocated to the investment of your choice.

Here are some of the features of our tax-deferred 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan:

  • Your contributions can be taken on a pre-tax basis.
  • You may elect to defer between 1% and 100% of your eligible compensation with a minimum annual deferral of $200. Refer to the Employee Benefits Office for maximum annual deferrals.
  • You are always 100% vested in your contributions to your 403(b) plan.
  • You have 24-hour-a-day access to your account balances and performance.

Day Care Center

St. Dominic Hospital operates an on-site child care facility for children of employees 6 weeks old through age 4. The center is licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health and meets all state requirements. The center is open 7 days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Sick Child Care

Sick child care is available through the day care center for children up to age 12 unable to attend normal day care or school due to contagious illness.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Voluntary long-term care insurance is available by payroll deduction which covers both in home and inpatient care needs and is transferable after hospital employment ends.
