Job Shadowing

To encourage those who are considering a career in healthcare, St. Dominic's offers a Job Shadowing program for a wide variety of disciplines. Anyone from middle school-aged children up to older adults interested in a healthcare career can take advantage of our Job Shadowing program. The program is also available for professionals working in the healthcare profession that may be interested in obtaining a "sneak preview" of the St. Dominic culture. The program is designed to provoke interest and awareness in health related careers and to provide carefully supervised, on-the-job experiences for students.

What is Job Shadowing?

Job Shadowing is designed to provoke interest and awareness in health related careers. The experience is a temporary (maximum of 2 days), unpaid exposure to the workplace in an area of interest to the individual. The experience is limited to observation only. Direct work experience, responsibility and skills are not acquired.
