St. Dominic Hospital Names Bourn Orthopedic Administrator

St. Dominic Hospital has promoted Cris Bourn, PT, DPT, MHS, to Orthopedic Administrator. Bourn has been Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Services since 2002. Prior to joining St. Dominic's, he worked as District Manager for Beverly Rehabilitation and Regional Director at Central Mississippi Health Care at Home.

Bourn received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, a master's in health science from Mississippi College and a doctorate in physical therapy from UMC.

"We are fortunate to have someone of Cris' caliber on staff to move into this vital role," said Lester Diamond, Vice President of St. Dominic Hospital.  "We anticipate great things from his leadership of Orthopedic Services. His proven ability to develop, grow and lead patient services and programs will be a tremendous asset to the department as well as St. Dominic's."

Bourn will be responsible for the overall direction of Orthopedic Services provided at St. Dominic' Hospital and will work in collaboration with his colleagues in other parts of Rehabilitation Services throughout the hospital as well as the community.

He is a member of both the American Physical Therapy Association and Mississippi Physical Therapy Association. He has served as an adjunct instructor of physical therapy at UMC. Bourn has also served as a medical missionary to Honduras and is a member of Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Madison.
