Michael O'Leary assumed the role of Administrator of St. Dominic's Mississippi Heart Institute (MHI) on January 5 announced Trace Swartzfager, St. Dominic's Vice President of Professional Services.
O'Leary is responsible for operations and growth initiatives for MHI, one of the southeast's leading cardiovascular programs. He will work closely with a staff of 24 cardiologists, three cardiovascular surgeons and numerous clinical professionals throughout the entire cardiovascular continuum of care.
Prior to joining St. Dominic's, O'Leary served as Assistant Vice President at Covenant Heart and Vascular Institute in Lubbock, Texas. He gained over two decades of cardiovascular service line administration experience in similar positions throughout his career which include serving as Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Joseph's Mercy at Macomb in Clinton Township, MI; Vice President of Cardiovascular Services at St. Vincent's Charity Hospital in Cleveland, OH and Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO. He received a Master of Arts degree from Webster University in St. Louis and a Bachelor's degree from Park University in Parkville, MO.
