Celebrating many more birthdays for Katrina!
Katrina Myricks didn’t have a family history of breast cancer and never thought she’d hear that there was a lump in her breast. “When the mammogram came back abnormal, it went through my mind that I was going to die,” said Katrina. After telling her husband, they came to St. Dominic’s where she was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer and was given a treatment plan. “From that point, I never looked back,” Katrina said. When Katrina shared the news with her 10-year old daughter, Kaitlin, she wrapped a pink boa around her mother’s neck and said, “it’s going to be okay, and your new color is pink.” Today, Katrina is cancer free and looking forward to many more birthdays ahead!
