  • 24 hour follow up with results
  • Connection to St. Dominic’s multi-disciplinary team for thoracic oncology (radiologist, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, pathology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, primary care network)

Who Qualifies?

High Risk

  • 55–77 years of age
  • 30 or > pack years of smoking
  • Current smoker or quit within the past 15 years

St. Dominic’s Screening Program for Those at High Risk for Lung Cancer

Lung cancer screenings for individuals with a high risk for lung cancer are offered at St. Dominic Hospital. According to the American Cancer Society, lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death, more than breast, prostate, colon and pancreatic cancers – combined. A study conducted by the National Cancer Institute showed that people at high risk of lung cancer who were screened with low-dose CT scans had a significant reduction in mortality from lung cancer.
