Patient Experience Results

Patient experience encompasses the range of interactions that patients have with the health care system, including their care from health plans, and from doctors, nurses, and staff in hospitals, physician practices, and other health care facilities. St. Dominic’s measures patient experience through Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) surveys. These surveys ask consumers and patients to report on and evaluate their health care experiences. The survey results are then used to evaluate and compare health care providers and to improve the quality of health care services.
